Celebrating the Life of Alex Mall
Alex’s funeral will take place at 12:45 on Wednesday 2 October at Orchardhill Parish Church, followed by a short committal service at the Mearns Cemetery.
Thereafter, friends are invited to go to Destiny Church in Shawlands where the family will join with you to remember further the life of Alex.
The family asks that no flowers be sent.
The Church

Car Parking
The Church car park is opposite the church with a large overflow parking about 50 yds down Rosslea Drive which is on the left opposite the Church.
Seating within the Church
Orchardhill is large, welcoming and can accommodate over 250 seated funeral attendees for the service.

From Orchardhill turn left from Church Road onto Fenwick road towards Eastwood Toll. At the round about take the first exit towards Clarkston/East Kilbride. At Clarkston Toll Turn right toward Newton Mearns. Follow the old mearns Road for 3.5 miles ignoring pedestrian crossings controllled by lights. Then at the first traffic lights turn left onto Waterfoot Road. The Cemetery is located about 900 yards on the right hand side

For those who cannot attend the service, the ceremony will be live streamed and available for later viewing for those who wish to celebrate Alex’s life in that way.

Friends are invited to join the family after the church service and comittal at Destiny Shawlands.
Please remember to switch your phone to airplane mode or off during the service.
Toilet facilities are located in the hallway behind the pulpit end of the church and are marked Gents and Ladies.
The fire exits are clearly marked above the doors to your right as you are seated and in the unlikely event of a fire, a sounder will alert you and fire safety marshalls from Orchardhill will show you to the best exit.
