Welcome Team instructions

SUNDAY SERVICES
All rota duties have resumed. However, It is understood that some of you may not be comfortable attending church and would prefer to watch the live stream instead and If this is you then please contact Norma Hannah norma@mikehannah.plus.com for regular rotas or Gillian for Bible and Prayer rotas either by email, Minister@Orchardhill.org.uk or direct to her mobile 07814718688, so that alternative arrangements can be made.

All Sunday morning duty teams please arrive at the church by 10:00am.

Additional instruction for the Welcome Team
The collection plate should be located just inside the sanctuary entrance. At the start of the service a member of the welcome team should take the collection plate to their seat and at the appropriate time in the service, take the plate to the chancel. After the close of the service, both welcome team members or a member and the treasurer, but always under dual control, should take the collection to the fellowship room.

The counting process is that the WFO envelopes are opened and the amounts noted in the book for that purpose. The open bag is counted separately. The total of the WFO and the total open bag money are then entered on the summary sheet, the sheet signed and the money placed in an envelope with the date and amount. In addition there is a form detailing the make-up of the money in the Open Bag and this form also requires a note of those attending the service - Isabella counts the attendees so she should be asked what this number is to enter on the form [This form is required to allow a Gift Aid claim for "Open Bag" collections]

The money is placed in the safe and the summary sheet, the WFO book and the Open Bag form are placed in the cupboard above the safe.

[The money in the safe will be banked by the treasurer every few weeks as the amounts do not merit weekly bankings]

The welcome team members are responsible for passing the cupboard / safe keys to a member of the welcome team for the following week.
