Orchardhilll Stated Annual Meeting – Sunday 19th March 10, 2017

Included today is a summary of the annual accounts showing income, expenditure and reserves which members may find useful to read prior to next Sunday’s meeting which will immediately follow worship.  After the meeting we would ask Session elders to remain to agree the annual return documents.  Presbytery have informed us that the inspection will take place on Wednesday 22nd March.

Orchardhill Record – April Deadline Today is the deadline for contributions for the April edition of the Orchardhill Record. Contributions should be sent by email to record‑editor@orchardhill.org.uk before 1.00pm.

Kirk Session will meet on Tuesday 28th March at 7.30pm in the Session/Fellowship Room.

Creative Worship Sharing ideas and crafting worship together Saturday 18th March in the Lounge 10.30am-12noon.

Being Christian, Being Disciples Chatting about Williams’s ‘Being Christian’ chapter 3 – Eucharist. Thursday 16th March 7.30pm – 8.30pm in the Manse (23 Huntly Avenue)

Soundwaves will be selling tickets for their show ‘Magical, Musical, Midnight’ on 24th and 25th March after the service this morning.

The Memorial Hall Stage has now been closed for the next couple of weeks as Soundwaves prepare for their annual Show.

We are looking for drivers who have space in their cars to help transport people along to the Lunchtime Communion on Wednesday 29th March at 11.30am, please contact the church office if you can help.

Eastwoodhill Coffee Morning The annual Eastwoodhill Coffee Morning will be held in Giffnock South Church on Saturday 8th April (10.00am-noon). This year the Friends of Eastwoodhill are fundraising to equip a new games room for the home.

Jeanette Birnie and Evelyn McMurtrie have coffee morning tickets (£2) and the ever popular quizzes (£1).

David Fisher and his musical group Octave have very kindly offered to hold a concert in the church on Friday 28 April at 7.30pm to help raise funds for Scottish Love in Action, Tuni India and the volunteer trip to India in 2017.  Tickets are available from the Church Office or at the door, the suggested donation is £10.00 per ticket which includes refreshments.  WE hope to fill the church to support both David and SLA.
